Mayor John Kysylyczyn's first court appearance on charges of criminal conflict of interest and misconduct, scheduled for Wednesday, has been postponed to Nov. 13. Kysylyczyn, 30, was charged last month with the two gross misdemeanors for voting in June to pay his own legal bills. The mayor's attorney, Richard Kyle, said Monday that he requested the change because of a scheduling conflict. White Bear Lake city prosecutor Doug Meslow filed the charges based on a citizen's complaint. The new court time is 8:15 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Ramsey County courthouse, 2785 White Bear Ave., Maplewood. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $3,000 fine.
